Hello world, its been too long since I wrote. Yea a couple of years. Well a lot has happened since the last post. I am not going to go month by month, just yearly. 2016 was a good year. Had a good yield in our crops, we added rye and oats, alfalfa to our list of crops. The one thing that is hard is when farmers who purchase from us don't pay up front, they pay monthly. At least we get paid, but need it to help with bills and loans up front. But God has taken care of us with how we deal with these people.

2017 is not done yet but we have added wheat to our list of crops now for fall cover crop. Not sure we will be selling it we're thinking on using it as green manure. Corn, soybeans and hay this year. The corn is good but soybeans are not so good. We had wonderful hay year. Some of our fields that we plant these in are wet and will be harvested late. As of this year we have been in Organic farming for 5 years.

All thing work together to those who love God. He knows our struggles and we lean on Him for any outcome of our daily life and thank Him for each day He gives us..

I have had surgery , hubby had A-Fib that landed him in hospital and now is good. I am healing and doing well. Remember stress takes a toll on your body, so give you cares to God..

So now we wait for good days for harvesting. It is a beautiful time of the year. Till next time Happy Harvest and Thankgiving

Hello
Its been a long time since I wrote on this blog. I have been dealing with Lyme disease as well as my husband. It takes all our energy, have aches and pains, etc.
As for the farming end of it we have done well except this year we started late because of too much rain and now these past few months its been the drought.
Only God knows what we will end up with and will take whatever He gives us. I haven't taken many pictures so will not post any for this year. Our crops are corn, soybeans, oats, alfalfa. We had to replant alfalfa. The drought killed whatever we planted earlier.
Not much to report will try to remember to post when our crops are harvested..

Last year was a better year and I should of posted pictures as well a blog about our crops.

Hello March 2015
After a long time of not writing, I have a lot to say but won't. Anyway we are in another year of crop farming. We had a good year in 2014, our crop was harvested and is still waiting for prices to go up. We have more land we are thinking about renting, we'll see how that goes later. Spring is almost here and getting into the soil won't be until May.
My pictures disappeared last yr not sure how. I won't repost because I took them off my computer. I will try to post pics this year if available..

Its been a month and in that time hubby has been cultivating the fields until they were too tall to do so. We also mowed around the fields. After having a drought the crops look great. Praying that they will be enough production for the fall harvest, which will be in October and November.. Pictures I have not been able to be replaced. So I will just write a blog..

Today was slow going, hubby had tried to get in the field to prepare it for planting oats, but some things got in the way. Two of our helpers came over to help with what they could, and the seeder broke down. I took over supper and then they went home after they dropped me off at home. Hubby stayed to see if he can fix the problem.

FIRST OF MY PICS DISAPPEARED. NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED.
Well its August now and our crops are doing ok, the weather has not been good for the corn. As for the soybeans the groundhogs are feasting on them 247. Hubby has been cultivating almost everyday. me I have started into the canning season and harvesting my garden produce.
We have our homemade planter done and put on the duels on tractor for disking. The corn is on tassel and some drying up. Whatever we get will be what God wants us to have...
