A short note that all crops are off and corn is being dried. Soybeans have been sold and were waiting for a check.
On other business I have been waiting for a while to get our business checking acct going and its taking a long time. Hubby is helping the person who was so kind in drying our corn today. Just got confirmation back on our farm name to be good to use in our state.

Well for now we are getting our crops off a little at a time. Friday the 15th we started to harvest corn. Saturday night we had more corn and soybeans harvested. we are having Enos Beiler chop it and Todd Bixler is to have it at his farm to dry our corn. then we are to have soybeans taken to Boyds Station to a mill. The corn will be taken elsewhere, will write where later..

Hubby is happy but we found out that the price for corn won't be as much as we expected. He is still willing to take it to the mill that offered to take our corn, they are an Organic only mill.

As of right now we are still waiting on an owner we had to let us on his land to rent for spring planting but he has not gotten back to us. We still will rent the land we have now.

Well its been a while. I really don't have anything much new to say. Only that we are trying to get ready for harvesting the corn and beans. right now hubby is fixing a grain dryer. We need to dry our corn before we can deliver it to the mill. We also will  probably borrow machinery from friends to harvest and transport.

Hubby planted triticale a couple weeks ago, using Schmidts seeder and our tractor. Planted 8.5 acres..

I have been not as busy as I was when summer was here. I am going to try to paint the kitchen and make new curtains. Lord willing I will do more sewing in the winter time.

Will update when we harvest our crops...
